Writing Successful Goals
Some amazing things happen when you write down what you want in life. It requires you to think, decide, and to prioritize. Even more amazing, as time passes, you can see your actual achievements and personal growth when compared to the direction that you had established for yourself earlier. Achievement is one catalyst to grow your self esteem.
1. We recommend writing your mission statement for each of the current focus elements in your life. This could stay the same for years.
2. Individual goals should be written to give support to those 3 or 4 most important life elements. These goals are written to provide purpose and direction.
3. Goals should be measureable, being challenging yet realistic.
4. Define your life's principle thrust to help provide the overall balance.
5. Make a contract with a close friend to hold yourself accountable to your goal's direction.
6. Review your achievements and update your goals annually.
7. Reward your achievements. Celebrate successes in your life.
8. Be aware that some life element's will change and therefore change your focus.
Here is and example of Written Goals.
